MASTER MERRILL SINCLAIR, JR.
Master Sinclair started his Martial Arts training under Master OK Hyung Kim in January of 1983. He earned his 1st Dan in November 1991, 2nd Dan in November 1994, 3rd Dan in November 2002, 4th Dan in November 0f 2006, and his current rank of 5th Dan Master in November of 2016. He also holds a 1st Dan in Hapki-Do, a Brown Belt in Judo, and trains regularly in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Modern Arnis. Before moving to Acworth, Georgia, Merrill instructed classes at the Bartlett Park District and at Kim’s Black Belt Academy in Elgin, Illinois, and in 2003 opened his own school in West Chicago, Illinois. He now operates Kyuki-Do Martial Arts in Dallas, Georgia where he includes his Personal Fitness Training, Aerobics Training, and Lifestyle & Weight Management Certifications to assist his students and others to live a healthy lifestyle.
Several times per year, Merrill speaks to local groups and business employees on topics such as Healthy Lifestyles. He also speaks on Safety, Awareness, and Self-defense in the workplace, at home and on the street, and provides free workshops at his school to teach these principles.
Master Sinclair grew up in Elgin, Illinois and after reconnecting with his middle school girlfriend, married and moved to Georgia in December 2006.
